WHAT'S THE PROCESS?
Most of the emblems are cast metal, which allows a lot of control of curvature, angles, thicknesses, etc. Head designer Andrea Carnahan's past experience of 20 years as a master goldsmith is one thing that makes MotorHead different. With great attention to detail, her experience with design, fabrication, casting and CAD lets her see the best way for she and her staff to create the desired finished emblem. Strict quality control is in place with MotorHead's tooling and production departments. This, plus 10 years experience with automotive emblems, means clients trust the Motorhead team to create their names/logos as not only 3D works of art, but true jewelry, to sign their projects.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE?
Each job includes photo realistic renderings that can be tweaked for your approval, so you can see exactly how the finished piece will look before we start the mold work.

WHAT'S THE BEST SIZE/STYLE FOR MY EMBLEM?
After 10 years of making emblems for award winning projects, we’ve found it all boils down to 3 things- placement, size and style/look. Get these 3 things right, and your emblem will be great!

But there are some tricks, you have to look at specific things- and then the emblem design will fall into place, intuitively, almost designing itself.

To make sure you get your emblem right, Motorhead has put together the Intuitive Guide to Designing Your Emblem. It even has shapes, and fonts to test with your project. Go Here to get it e-mailed to you, and keep up with the latest via the e-newsletter!

WHAT'S THE MINIMUM ORDER & HOW MUCH DO THEY COST?
QUANTITIES:
We realize one off pieces are occasionally needed, but we are no longer set up to support them on a regular basis. We can create as few as 2 pieces, but with the price premium for manufacturing methods, you may want to look at the 6 piece production option.

The one off pieces require similar tooling and mold work to the production pieces. The one off pieces, or any quantity less than 6, also require more expensive manufacturing. We have to investment cast them in brass. Investment casting is expensive, and hand polishing brass is very labor intensive. Even if we made just one piece, because there is the occasional miscast/defect we always make an "insurance" mold and cast an extra or two.

The minimum 6 piece production runs are chromed white metal, more cost effective in materials, casting methods and handpolishing. Both have a final finish of chrome plate, nickel plate, or other desired effect. Both are "jewelry quality" for your car!

PRICING: for an average emblem 2.5" to 4" across

A minimum two off order is 2 pieces and starts at $685 per piece (chromed brass), please see additional information in the quantities section above.

A minimum production run is 6 pieces and starts at $235 per piece which includes the mold (chromed white metal), the second run of 6 pieces averages $100 per piece. Even if you don't need all six pieces, they are effective in other places in your marketing program. Build Book Cover, Show signage, Office display, Sponser thank you's, Corporate gifts, etc!

A larger production run of 50 pieces starts at $80 per piece which includes the mold (chromed white metal) , the second run of 6 pieces averages $62 per piece. Call for pricing on larger runs.
